Obverse [0:4] o 1o 1–o 44To the king, my lord: your servant Balasî. Good health to the king, my lord! May Nabû and Marduk bless the king, my lord!
Obverse [4:6] o 55–o 66Concerning the raven about which the king, my lord, wrote to me, (here are the relevant omens):
Obverse [6:10] o 77–o 1010If a raven brings something into the house of a man, the said man will obtain something that does not belong to him.
Obverse [10:16] o 1111–o 1616If a falcon or a raven drops something it carries into the house of a man, (or) according to a variant, before a man, the said house will have išdihu. Išdihu (means) profit.
Obverse [16:24] o 1717–If a bird carries flesh, a bird, or anything, and drops it into the house of a man, the said man will receive a large inheritance.
Reverse [3:7] r 44–r 77May Nabû and Marduk bless the king, my lord, and may they give life of distant days, old age and fullness of life to the king, my lord!
Reverse [7:21] r 88–I have servants in the land of the Chief Cupbearer, and I have fields and orchards (there). (But) the servants of the Chief Cupbearer, coveting my orchards, have snatched them and chased my people away. Fr[om the mo]ment they chased them, they (= my people) [go]t into a panic and disappeared. May [the gods] not forsake me! [May the ki]ng [feel] pity (for his servant)! May a guard be appointed [for] me, let him do me justice!
